    Salary range: $93,512 (min) $120,661 (mid) $147,810 (max)

     

    Grade C/682 points

    Responsibilities:

    This position is responsible for directing the maintenance operations for all Automated Fare Collection (AFC) equipment installed in one of the four boroughs in the subway system and at certain out-of-system locations. In this capacity, the selected candidate will ensure that all AFC equipment, including OMNY, within the assigned borough meets its operational requirements for availability and reliability. This encompasses managing the performance of service calls, preventive maintenance, software installations and hardware modifications and upgrades through a maintenance workforce dispatched from field offices located within the assigned borough. The selected candidate has primary responsibility for all aspects of operations within the assigned borough, including long range/strategic planning, labor relations, human resources, materials management and safety.

    Education and Experience:

    A bachelor's degree in electronics, engineering or a related field of study, and 8 years of full-time related experience, of which 5 years must have been in a managerial/supervisory ; Or

    A satisfactory combination of education and experience.

    Desired Skills:

    + Thorough knowledge and experience in electro-mechanical and electronic based revenue collection equipment and operations.

    + Ability to solve complex problems and effectively allocate resources.

    + Excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication skills.

    + Strong organizational and administrative skills.
