Our Technology Center is home to a team of globally recognized engineers and scientists who provide innovative mining, processing and environmental solutions to our operations throughout the world. What You Will Do

+ Perform routine and non-routine chemical and/or metallurgical analytical tasks at assigned site.

+ May collect samples which could include collection from rail cars or trucks in some locations

+ Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.

+ Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.

+ Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment

+ Perform other duties as required

What You Bring To Freeport

+ Demonstrated knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

+ Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Preferred Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Troubleshoot and diagnosis of process instrumentation for process optimization

+ Knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC's, transmitters, electrical testing, and loop checking

+ Research and development of instrumentation testing and deployment

+ Ability to regularly travel to different mine sites to assist in development and installation projects

+ Demonstrated computational skills

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently  **$20.50- $28.00/hour.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
