Accountabilities

+ Conduct thorough analysis and make informed decisions on job details and emergencies

+ Maintain and account for tools, equipment, and assigned vehicles

+ Complete daily job safety inspection sheets and accurately read meters

+ Perform leak repairs, mains maintenance, fire hydrant management, new service installations, meter changes, and service repairs

+ Keep the direct Supervisor informed of field customer service issues and needs

+ Utilize PC tablets for field service applications and process service orders efficiently

+ Operate hand and power tools, as well as mechanical equipment, during various tasks such as installing, operating, and repairing mains, services, meters, valves, and fire hydrants

+ Assist in shutdowns, repairs, disinfection, and restoration of water service to customers

+ Oversee and direct contractors as needed

+ Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

Education and Experience

+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required

+ Experience working in the water utility industry, plumbing industry, or similar mechanical experience

+ Hold or willingness to obtain an ADEQ Grade 1 Water Distribution license

+ Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record

+ Basic computer skills, including Windows operations knowledge, and experience with communication devices

+ Ability to work as part of a team
