Our Team:

The front-office team is responsible for developing analytics for decision support for the front-office function at banks, asset managers, insurance companies and hedge funds based for managing risk and asset liability management.

The Role:

• On a day-to-day basis, the individual will be the main point of contact for the engineering team in New York (~15 engineers).

• Define and build consensus on the front-office foundational strategy for decision making with different business units

• Gather requirements from the business units and execute against the core stages of the business development

• Work closely with cross-functional teams ensuring interoperability across Bloomberg applications and front-office

• Validate and test analytics and workflow enhancements prior to release along with the validation teams and engineering

• Perform technical meetings with clients and business teams to make sure requirements are aligned with client’s expectations

We’ll trust you to:

Validate the front-office strategy presented by stakeholders and execute the product development of Front-Office analytics by:

• Expanding coverage of financial instruments, supporting new territories or market segments

• Expanding coverage to new client segments and personas (i.e insurance companies and bank treasurers)

• Expanding interoperability with multiple Bloomberg applications, enhancing clients experience

• Expanding risk and decision making metrics based on industry standard definitions based on the target segment

• Expanding support of workflows for decision making such as slice and dice, look-through, proxies, lots, cash balances, optimization, etc.

• Work with upstream and downstream teams to meet business demands and clients SLAs.

• Leveraging Bloomberg company-wide or third party technologies to provide better workflows.

• Onboarding to the company-wide API strategy to adapt faster to clients operating model and API connectivity.

You’ll need to have:

• 5+ year work experience in the financial or fintech industries.

• Solid understanding of financial instruments, including bonds, derivatives, mortgages and private assets.

• In-depth understanding of front-office workflows from pricing, idea generation to risk management.

• Solid track record and understanding of decision support analytics for valuations, structuring, scenarios, greeks and asset liability management

• Ability to work with business stakeholders and clients to formulate a product strategy, requirements and produce a product roadmap

• Ability to manage and execute product development working closely with different stakeholders, including engineering teams.

• Ability to ensure a seamless user experience and robust workflows by working with different stakeholders across the firm.

• Ability to get involved into the architecture design conversations to ensure back-end is robust and can scale with the business.

• Be-a market expert and ahead of the industry and market trends leveraging Bloomberg technologies for better serving clients.

• Experience engaging with clients and understanding the product needs.

Salary Range = 140000 - 295000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
