    Emergency Response Clinician: Be a Lifeline in Crisis

     

    Direct Hire | Salary: $68,000 - $70,000 annually

     

    Hours: Saturday through Wednesday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible based on program needs)

     

    Are you a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) with a passion for making a real difference in your community? We're seeking an **Emergency Response Clinician** to join our team of vital first responders, providing immediate support and critical resources to individuals and families navigating substance use and co-occurring disorder crises.

     

    About the Role

     

    In this pivotal role, you'll be on the front lines, working directly with individuals and their support networks during pre-crisis or crisis situations. You'll not only provide immediate, on-scene assistance but also empower individuals and families to understand their options, overcome systemic barriers, and access the comprehensive care they desperately need. This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to be a lifeline, advocating for those in vulnerable moments and guiding them towards recovery and stability.

    Key Responsibilities

    As an Emergency Response Clinician, you will:

    + **Respond to Emergencies:** Partner with the ILI team to provide **on-scene support** during substance use disorder and co-occurring disorder-related emergency calls.

    + **Provide Immediate Support & Connection:** Remain on scene with a peer team member, offering crucial support and facilitating connections to ongoing resources.

    + **Empower Individuals & Families:** Guide families and individuals through the complexities of addiction, helping them navigate insurance barriers and access appropriate treatment systems.

    + **Facilitate Critical Referrals:** Make direct referrals to the Orange County Crisis Call Center for ongoing resources, services, and peer supports, including the Mobile Response Team when necessary.

    + **Educate & Inform:** Provide essential **harm reduction education and training** to individuals residing with or supporting someone experiencing an emergency.

    + **Connect to Community Resources:** Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of community resources to effectively connect individuals with additional treatment or services.

    + **Advocate for Rights & Access:** Assist individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders in protecting their rights, resolving complaints, accessing services, and navigating community supports of their choice.

    + **Maintain Accurate Records:** Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required reporting and record-keeping, including statistical reports.

    + **Actively Participate in Professional Development:** Engage fully in all meetings and training sessions, particularly those relevant to substance use disorder, co-occurring disorders, transition, and diversion.

    Qualifications

    + **Licensure:** Must be a **Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA)** , including:

    + Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW)

    + Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

    + Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

    + Licensed Creative Arts Therapist

    + Licensed Occupational Therapist

    + Registered Nurse

    + **Experience:**

    + **Minimum of one year of management/supervisory experience is required.**

    + **Lived experience** with substance use recovery (personally or through a family member/friend) and comfort with self-disclosure as needed is a significant **plus** .

    + **Knowledge & Skills:**

    + Strong working knowledge of the recovery process and a genuine willingness to promote multi-pathways to recovery.

    + Proficient data entry and computer software skills.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

    + Exceptional time management skills and the ability to be self-directed and work autonomously.
