    **VCA Veterinary Emergency and Veterinary Specialty Center,** in **Middleton, WI** is seeking a **Certified** **Veterinary Technician** to join our Overnight Team!

    **Compensation:** $24- 34/hr and pay starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

     

    We also offer a shift differential to all hourly associates who work within a specific timeframe.

     

    **Schedule:** Full-time, Overnight/ 3rd shift.

    + Scheduled hours would be 11 pm - 8 am, with every other weekend.

    Snapshot of the Role:

    As an Emergency team member, you will support the Emergency doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

     

    Our Emergency and Critical Care Technicians thrive in a fast-paced service, handle critical case, and enjoy the stimulating caseload. Our Technicians have the opportunity to sharpen and advance their technical skills every day.

     

    + Triage and prioritize incoming emergency cases

    + Coordinate ER flow by assigning clinicians and ensuring timely patient care

    + Provide high-quality nursing care and monitor critically ill or injured patients

    + Place IV catheters, perform diagnostic testing, and administer treatments

    + Assist in and monitor anesthesia for emergency procedures; manage patient recovery

    + Support clinicians during exams, procedures, and diagnostic imaging (radiographs, labs)

    + Communicate clearly with clients about patient status and discharge instructions

    + Maintain accurate medical records, enter charges, and complete treatment sheets

    + Collaborate with CSRs and team members to ensure a smooth client experience

    + Maintain cleanliness, follow infection control protocols, and ensure proper patient restraint

    Qualifications:

    + Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

    + Eligible to transfer current license to the state or obtain state credentialing within 3 months of hire.
