    (URGENT - Contract, 2-4 month engagement) Fixed Asset Accountant

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to play a pivotal role in a critical cleanup project due for completion by the fiscal year-end, September 30th. The position involves managing thousands of lines of invoice data coded to Construction In Progress (CIP) that need to be transitioned to fixed assets. You will work with data between Sage Fixed Assets (FAS) and an Excel workbook, consolidating and validating it into the system. Our client utilizes Great Plains ERP, Sage Fixed Assets (FAS), and Concur for invoices.

    Responsibilities

    + Review and reconcile historical capital project data coded to completed projects from CIP to Fixed Assets in the accounting software (FAS and Excel-based schedules).

    + Ensure all asset additions are properly categorized, valued, and depreciated in accordance with GAAP.

    + Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant to validate asset data and resolve discrepancies.

    + Develop and document a comprehensive SOP for the fixed asset management process in FAS.

    + Assist in identifying and resolving software-related issues that have hindered proper asset tracking.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting.

    + Strong reconciliation skills with proficiency in Excel formulas, such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

    + Experience with fixed assets software.

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

    + Experience handling Construction in Progress (CIP) transitions to fixed assets.

    + Ability to impact critical cleanup projects and SOP build-out at a large local employer.

    Work Environment

    This position requires working fully onsite from Monday to Friday at the Shore Drive location. The work environment is fast-paced, with a team-oriented atmosphere where collaboration is key. The office can become lively with phone calls, team meetings, and interaction among employees and residents in common areas.

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr.
