Shipping Lead - Smyrna, GA

Dayshift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM

The Opportunity:

* Provide freight quotes as requested.

* Generate Proforma Invoice as requested.

* Prepare shipping and export documentation required for international shipments.

* Coordinate with sales/customer service team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers.

* Ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.

* Communicate with sales/service and other functional areas to resolve customer problems in a timely manner

* Provide support to Sales/customer service team.

* Perform other tasks within the SRI team, as and when needed.

* Maintain international customer profile and relevant customer information as well as task specific SOP's.

What you need to succeed:

* Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.

* Preferred 5+ years\u2019 experience in a related field.

* FedEx shipping software experience. · International shipping experience and knowledge of customs requirements.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

* Preferably DOT/DG certified.

* Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

* Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.

* Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.

* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and outside of the organization.

* High School diploma or GED required, with a college degree preferred.

* Work in an office / manufacturing / production environment.

* The noise level in the work environment is light to moderate.

* Working with management, colleagues, and suppliers.

* Timeliness and accuracy of Safety goals & achievement.

Safety:

* Treats safety and housekeeping as a non-negotiable

* Performs all required safety and housekeeping tasks and audits.

* Use all requirement PPE according to area and activity.

* Lead/Take part in department safety incident investigations, when necessary.

* Find safety issues and at once implement countermeasures, involving the right resources.

* Creates an environment and team attitude that delivers zero risk, zero near misses, zero recordables.
