Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) seeks a Point of Care Ultrasound Administrator to join our team. The Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Administrator manages the POCUS program throughout NVRH for any non-radiology/cardiology department using clinical ultrasound. This includes, but is not limited to, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Anesthesia, Obstetrics, Surgery, Urgent Care, Specialists, and Internal Medicine. The POCUS Administrator will work closely with the POCUS Educator and facilitate the NVRH POCUS committee meetings.
What you'll do day-to-day:
+ **System Management & Technical Support:** Maintain enterprise POCUS exam storage, reporting processes, and application-level support, including workflow management, image archiving, and troubleshooting; collaborate with the IS Department and vendors on system implementation and maintenance
+ **Quality Assurance & Credentialing:** Oversee standardized credentialing process for non-radiology physicians, maintain Quality Assurance programs, and support education/training initiatives in coordination with CMO and POCUS Educator
+ **Financial Management & Compliance:** Establish billing compliance meeting National and CMS guidelines, manage yearly budgets for equipment and training, oversee charge reconciliation and denials management, and track revenue KPIs
+ **Program Administration & Reporting:** Manage provider onboarding systems, conduct project management and post-implementation oversight, provide vendor research and quotes to department leaders, and report progress and opportunities to the POCUS committee and the CMO
Qualifications:
+ **Education & Technical Skills:** Bachelor's degree preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong computer/technical abilities
+ **Communication & Teamwork:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, families, and staff
+ **Medical Knowledge & Patient Care:** Knowledge of medical terminology; ability to handle multiple priorities and work calmly with patients under stress; experience with confidential and complex materials
