Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily activities of our healthcare providers by ensuring a smooth and efficient patient care experience. You will be responsible for vital sign documentation, patient preparation, and assisting physicians with procedures, among other essential tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Perform vital sign documentation and prepare patients and rooms for exams and procedures.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both patients and staff.

+ Assist physicians by documenting medical history and case notes, and relay instructions to patients or authorized persons.

+ Collect patient data in person and by phone, documenting patient concerns and care provided in the electronic medical record.

+ Accurately document medical information in patient records and track test results for physician or nurse practitioner review.

+ Communicate test results to patients when appropriate and facilitate patient care activities, including scheduling tests and reinforcing patient education.

+ Perform triage as directed by the physician or nurse practitioner, maintain inventory of supplies, and proficiently use electronic health records for documentation and communication.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

+ Proficiency in using electronic health records and basic computer skills.

+ Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Certification in Medical Assisting or related field.

+ Experience in phlebotomy and patient care.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Work Environment

This position is located in a busy urgent care setting, handling 50-100 patients a day. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to work until 6 PM if needed. This role offers opportunities for growth and overtime within different specialties.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
