    Job Description:

    The Division of Athletics and Recreation at Brown University is seeking a highly organized and resourceful Executive Operations Coordinator (EOC) to support divisional operations and initiatives. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of internal processes, communications, and strategic projects across a dynamic and high-performing department.Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics Chief of Staff, the EOC will coordinate communication, logistics, and operations for the executive leadership team, support the implementation of strategic priorities, and serve as a central resource for staff across the division. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys being at the heart of team coordination and organizational flow.Key Responsibilities:

     

    + Coordinate daily operational activities for executive leadership, including meetings, events, and divisional initiatives.

    + Manage communication across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure consistency and timely information sharing.

    + Provide logistical and administrative support for divisional events, strategic projects, and planning processes.

    + Oversee general office operations, including supply management, space coordination, and supporting student workers.

    + Assist with drafting correspondence, presentations, reports, and briefings to support department-wide efforts.

    + Provide flexible support across the department during staffing gaps or peak periods.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree required. A combination of education and directly related professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    + 1–2 years of administrative or operations experience, preferably supporting leadership or in a team coordination role.

    Key Competencies:

    + Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.

    + Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize competing demands, and remain composed under pressure.

    + Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment.

    + Comfort working in a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive campus environment.

     

    All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division are to be reported to the compliance office and appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions must receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting by the compliance office and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division).
