Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Description

Collaborate with various teams to capture technical information and transcribe it into clear documentation for internal and external use in a medical device environment.

Responsibilities

+ Distill technical information into accessible documentation.

+ Support the formatting and proofreading of the Design History File (DHF) for the generator New Product Introduction (NPI).

+ Work with software architecture documents, operator manuals, and labeling instructions.

+ Comprehend and document embedded and firmware medical device products.

+ Develop trace matrixes and upstream documentation.

+ Support new contract manufacturers by writing and releasing design change orders.

+ Provide oversight on proper documentation for regulatory submissions.

Essential Skills

+ Medical device experience and understanding of an ISO13485 environment.

+ Proficiency in technical writing, specifically within medical devices.

+ Experience with DHF, firmware, change orders, quality inspection plans, regulatory submissions, and design control.

+ Experience working with complex products such as electromechanical devices, robotics, generators, and diagnostics/biotech.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Verge Quality Management System (QMS) is a plus.

+ Quality Experience background is preferred.

+ 5 years of professional experience in a medical device environment.

Work Environment

The role initially requires working Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, transitioning to a hybrid model with 3 days on-site once performance is steady. Work in a state-of-the-art facility in Santa Clara, contributing to innovative electronic product development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.00/hr.
