    Job Title: Director of Nursing Emergency ServicesJob Description

     

    The Nurse Director of Emergency Services is a professional registered nurse responsible for ensuring adherence to established standards to achieve the organization's mission and vision. This role involves directing, coordinating, and evaluating the unit and departments while executing supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. The Nurse Director provides leadership and mentorship in the development of leaders and staff, monitors and evaluates quality, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction outcomes, and implements strategies for improvement. As a change agent, the Nurse Director establishes strong collaborative relationships with physicians and oversees the overall administrative, financial, and clinical activities of assigned departments.

    Responsibilities

    + Execute strategic planning, lead mentoring/coaching, and identify department succession strategy.

    + Oversee physician relationships and engagement.

    + Collaborate with marketing and nursing leadership in marketing, community outreach, and visibility.

    + Develop and oversee quality initiatives, staffing and productivity guidelines, and customer service goals.

    + Analyze and monitor compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards.

    + Plan and organize orientation and in-service training for staff members, and participate in guidance and educational programs.

    + Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, standards, and programs that support unit/departments.

    + Develop and submit budget strategies and capital budgets for the unit/departments.

    + Use forecasted budget to guide expenditure decisions.

    + Initiate activities to enhance revenues and support cost reduction and containment activities.

    + Demonstrate empathy and intentionally work to put others at ease.

    Essential Skills

    + Nursing clinical, administration, and management skills.

    + Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required; Master’s Degree in Nursing and/or related field preferred.

    + Minimum of five years’ clinical nursing experience, with at least three years in a management capacity.

    + Certification in clinical specialty or nursing administration preferred.

    + Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.

    Work Environment

    Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/yr.

     

    Ardent benefits kick in first day of the month after 30 days of employment

    This is a fully onsite position in Tulsa,OK.
