    Here's how a Field Engineer Fall Intern-SDCCE for our California Buildings office contributes to our team:

    Responsibilities

    + Assist Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents

    + Conduct safety audits and quality audits

    + Read and understand drawings and specifications

    + Log submittals, process RFIs, and prepare reports

    + Assist with surveying and project layout

    + Maintain and update field drawings, field equipment, and records

    + Assist with coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field staff

    + Coordinate material deliveries and documentation

    + Attend relevant project meetings

    + Prepare memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other forms/documents

    + Assist with project documentation requirements

    + Assist with estimating and soliciting subcontractors and/or suppliers for information and pricing

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Currently enrolled as a full-time student attending SDCCE pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, etc.)

    + Desire to pursue a career as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Estimator

    + Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

    + 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License

    + Willing to work and live in the Southern California area

    + Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations

    + Ability to navigate through a construction site daily, including climbing ladders and stairs

    + Ability to work around and near heavy equipment, cranes, and other construction equipment

    + Employment contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party

    Compensation begins at $16.50 per hour, with the final rate determined based on experience and qualifications.
