    *D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for a*_Accounting Manager - Builder_*. The right candidate will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Assists in maintaining budgets and projected costs.

    *Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    * Manage accounting support staff

    * Prepare annual operating budget/forecast on a line item basis.

    * Prepare budget updates when requested by region/corporate

    * Reconcile or review general ledger accounts with corporate accounting (prepaid inventory, development jobs, earnest money deposits, etc.)

    * Maintain general ledger

    * Interface with senior management and region accounting staff

    * Verify that cash receipt entries and all journal entries are processed

    * Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as requested

    * Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

    * Ability to travel overnight

    *Supervisory Responsibilities*

    * Supervises 2 or more employees

    *Education and/or Experience*

    * Bachelor's degree in Accountingfrom a four-year college or university

    * Seven years related experience and/or training

    * Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with all levels of personnel

    * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

    * Proficiency with MS Office and email

    * CPA Preferred

    * JD Edwards experience preferred
