Senior Business Analyst - Logistics

Position Responsibilities:
+ Act as primary subject matter expert in use of logistics applications.
+ Analyze, support and manage small to medium projects for new and legacy applications supporting logistics functions (Warehousing, Transportation).
+ Develop, maintain and continuously progress in knowledge of all business functions.
+ Manages issue resolution with appropriate levels of urgency with customers, helpdesk personnel and developers using solid negotiation and conflict management skills, escalating to management and senior leadership appropriately.
+ Participate in the analysis and design system solutions, providing assistance and direction to development teams, leveraging a standard SDLC model from concept, analysis/requirements through development, QA, implementation, decommission.
+ Understand and fully utilize ITIL methodology for responding to functional and technical issues, including incident and problem management processes. Assist and/or lead investigation to identify root causes, creating plans and mitigation for user processes.
+ 25% domestic travel and potential for international travel
+ Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering , c omputer s cience, or m anagement i nformation s ystems/ s cience or similar with at least 3 years of experience acting as a Business Analyst performing like accountabilities above in a multi-location organization for a 24/7 distribution company or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 6 plus years of the above stated experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ Previous experience working on application analysis, design and/or support for a tier 1 enterprise logistics system, preferably Manhattan WMOS, Koerber (HighJump), Fusion Apps, JDE Enterprise One or SAP
+ Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC and ITIL support processes
+ Experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment
+ Experience working on a 24/7 on-call team
