THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Environmental Group Manager, you will manage the Program Support Section within the Bureau of Oil and Gas Planning and Program Management. You will be responsible for directing the bureau's orphan and marginal conventional well grant programs to include identifying, prioritizing, and tracking wells which are eligible for the bureau’s grant programs. This professional collaborates with the agency’s Communications and Policy Office and other state agencies in carrying out the bureau’s Community Benefits and Workforce Development Plans.
Showcase your leadership skills as you identify and track key policy, regulatory, and technical issues; serve as the bureau's representative for internal and external workgroups; and coordinate oil and gas-related training for the bureau and regional office staff. This position also affords the opportunity to exercise your innovation through directing the development and maintenance of the bureau's internal and external web pages, in addition to the development of bureau reports, publications, and other public information.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ A bachelor’s degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; and five years of professional environmental protection experience ;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
+ This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license.
