    DESCRIPTION:

    Duties: Develop high quality production code as a full stack developer including active backend and front-end development. Develop architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Perform design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or break down technical problems. Lead sizable projects independently and drive them to completion from end to end. Lead discussions with business counterparts, design solutions, be involved in hands on development of those solutions. Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications with a focus on microservices architecture and continuous delivery. Interact with business users and project managers to understand and analyze the requirement specifications and determine realistic delivery timelines. Plan biweekly releases of the applications by understanding business priorities, estimating the spring work, and working on production deployments. Coach junior developers and conduct meaningful code reviews to ensure best practices are followed. Provide production support for critical applications during support windows and provide timely help to the Business users in case of issues and queries. Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple applications.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Consultant (IT), or related occupation.

     

    Skills Required: This position requires 3 years of experience with the following: designing and building general ledger or financial reporting-related applications for time sensitive reporting of high volumes of financial data using Java, J2EE and the spring ecosystem including Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Security for scalability and performance. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: utilizing Oracle SQL to design database queries and optimize database performance for large scale applications; using Hibernate for application and Oracle Database integration; developing scalable and responsive user interfaces using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, JQuery, HTML, and CSS; Developing and integrating services into legacy systems using RESTful API; Managing containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes; designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native applications with a focus on microservices architecture using AWS and Cloud Foundry; designing and implementing unit, integration, and performance tests using Junit, Selenium, Cucumber and JEST frameworks to ensure code quality and system reliability; Using Git and Bitbucket for source code version control, collaboration, and management of code changes in a multi-developer environment; DevOps practices including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI and CD); Automating build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins and Maven for seamless software delivery.
