Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare patients for exams by gathering medical history and vitals

+ Perform phlebotomy, urine drug screenings, and CLIA-waived testing

+ Administer injections per provider direction and training

+ Assist with prescription management and medication counts

+ Support outreach efforts: appointment reminders, re-engagement, and patient follow-up

+ Manage lab and PPE supplies, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR

+ Collaborate with front desk and lab teams to support daily workflow

+ Uphold safety standards, patient confidentiality, and infection control protocols

What We’re Looking For:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or LPN program

+ 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant and in phlebotomy

+ Willingness to train on injections if not already proficient

+ Experience in behavioral health, billing, or healthcare settings is a plus

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days

+ Proficient in EMRs and Microsoft Office

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for performing duties under the direction of a physician to assist inthe examination and treatment of patients.

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School diploma or its equivalent

+ Good telephone communication skills

+ Knowledge of medical terminology

+ Knowledge of medical procedures

+ Knowledge of clerical functions

+ Current CPR card (if applicable)

+ Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)

+ Current Health Certificate (if applicable)

+ Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred

+ Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.

+ Relevant certification/ license if applicable.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
