Job Summary
The Assistant Vice President will have the responsibility and ownership for proactively managing the transactional closing, booking and oversight of syndicated loan transactions. You will work closely with front office & business lines in a variety of ways, assisting in routine operational support along the transaction closing cycle. The role will report directly into the Vice President, who oversees the Loan Closing function where MUFG acts as Administrative Agent & participation lender.
Responsibilities
+ Reviewing documentation to ensure it meets operational requirements and manages a portfolio of transactions including preparation and tasks required for financial closing.
+ Engaging and instructing the applicable Operations Servicing groups to ensure they are properly positioned to fund (as necessary) and informed for each transaction.
+ Reviewing closing documentation to ensure it meets operational requirements and manage teams’ performance to ensure all financial closings are properly positioned to fund.
+ Ensuring all appropriate approvals, sanctions, documentation, and KYC are complete and in place to ensure efficient and timely closing.
+ Reviewing legal loan documentation and ensuring it meets operational requirements where applicable for agented transactions.
+ Managing the associated closing process utilizing internal systems to complete the setup of a transaction profile and completion of post-closing functions across their portfolio.
+ Fielding and effectuating trade settlement(s) as they are directed into the group’s actionable purview.
+ Managing support function requests by effectuating the request timely and reverting to the relevant stakeholder upon completion.
Qualifications
+ Comprehensive knowledge of the Syndicated Loan Market, particularly the role of Administrative Agent. Prior LSTA or working group involvement is a plus.
+ Ability to review legal loan documentation and ensure it meets operational/system requirements for agented transactions.
+ Understands market conventions for managing products across Syndicated & Commercial Lending Operations
+ Comfortable interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders, including the Bank’s Clients, Investors, other Agent Banks, Issuing Banks, Syndications, Front Office etc.
+ Capability to review & comprehend loan documentation thoroughly and liaise with appropriate stakeholders to amend & redline as needed.
+ Knowledge of systems used to manage the Syndicated lending business: AFS, ACBS, Loan IQ, Clearpar, Syndtrak, Intralinks, Debt Domain.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $89K - $107K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
