    Group/division summary

    The Site Leader will lead our Clinical Diagnostics Reagents (CDR) business in Middletown, VA. CDR is focused on the design, development and manufacture of OEM, contract and custom reagents specifically for IVD companies across the globe. The business is the leading, dedicated provider of contract and OEM reagents globally and is anchored on the supply of a wide portfolio of diagnostics reagents & kits ranging from hemostasis, hematology, clinical chemistry, immunoassay to cutting edge molecular diagnostics.

    Position summary

    As the Site Leader, you will report to the division VP of Operations and will play an integral role in significantly expanding the business while fulfilling demand on behalf of our global customers. You will be key in growing our global footprint within the rapidly expanding Contract Manufacturing services industry and strategically deploy internal capabilities to deliver impressive results using a combination of exceptional awareness of external market forces and a deep understanding of our customer’s needs. Additionally, you will influence change across the business, identifying processes improvement opportunities and delivering solutions to address challenges.

     

    What Will You Do?

     

    + Lead the CDR business for Middletown responsibility for plant margin/EBITA delivery.

    + Facilitate the expansion of the business in collaboration with VP Operations & Business Development.

    + Find opportunities and drive actions that would allow performance to exceed the agreed plan, accelerate growth, improve margins, and drive down working capital needs.

    + Work effectively with operational and other site function leaders to develop and effectively deploy a shared vision & approach.

    + Leverage complementary strengths and develop impactful teams; ensures scalable talent in key positions; ensures key capabilities are developed or acquired. Recruit and retain best in class talent.

    + Builds a great team and great culture that is diverse, collaborative, inclusive with trust and healthy debates.

    + Provide, and implement upon, strategies to deliver upon both long-term and short-term goals for the Site, which also aligns with the strategic business plans of Clinical Diagnostics Division.

    + Be a problem-identifier and solver; recognizes a wide range of early warning signals in the Business, which allows and/or requires a proactive approach to problem prevention.

    + Influence the strategic and tactical direction of the business by providing insightful and timely business analytics.

    + Ensure full alignment with both customers and regulatory authorities to deliver flawless compliance.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or relevant scientific field required, with an advanced degree or MBA preferred.

    + At least 10 years of experience in regulated industries with progression to management which spans cross-functionally

    + Strategic and operational expertise and a track record of leadership experience in diverse, fast-changing environments with experience delivering strong operational results.

    + Ability and desire to be an impactful leader of the business, and someone who proactively identifies problems and provides solutions.

    + Experience and passion to scale and grow a complex business, including a demonstrated track of success facilitating dynamic organizational change in a heavy manufacturing environment.

    + Leadership skills, with proven record in building and developing strong teams. A change leader with executive presence and experience working with senior teams/executives.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work across the organization.

    + The preferred candidate will come from a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

    + Must have the ability and desire to be an impactful leader, who proactively identifies problems and provides solutions.

    + Knowledge of the levers that drive revenue and margin at the business unit level
