Summary About the Position: This position is located with the Defense Health Network West in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities Provide health system expertise on health care programs and policies. Manage demand projection/modeling for the optimal health care delivery plan across the hospital. Analyze administrative and clinical delivery systems to develop strategic focus for management team decisions. Provide technical and administrative oversight for clinical administrators and Service Line Business Directors. Provide advise, counsel or instruction, to individual employees on Access to Care matter. Provide technical advice and assistance to clinical and administrative department chiefs on all health program functions within their departments. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes organizing multi-faceted projects that involve productivity and quality improvement; interpreting policies or procedures to develop protocols across medical facilities; and providing guidance and advice to senior leaders at a healthcare setting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Health Policy Planning Support Health Systems Analysis Healthcare Operations Administration Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
