    Amegy Bank is seeking a Community Development Manager  to join the Community Banking team in Houston, TX.

    The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience necessary to:

    + Responsible for representing the bank in community and economic development activities and acting as a business development/referral source in target market areas.

    + Establishes and maintains relations with community organizations and businesses.

    + Represents the bank in aspects of community outreach to assess community and business credit needs.

    + Identifies and refers business lending opportunities.

    + May participate in the screening, decision making process, and/or approval of individual and other community development loans.

    + Monitors and maintains current knowledge of local businesses, markets and development efforts.

    + Responsible for developing strategies and expanding referral sources.

    + Responsible for gathering data to be used in the selling process, participating in community organizations and activities assisting prospective clients in completing service applications.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Requires a Bachelors and 6+ years of directly related experience.

     

    + Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods.

    + Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of sales techniques, banking products and services.

    + Must have excellent customer service , negotiation and PC skills
