The College of Education and Behavioral Sciences is pleased to announce we are accepting application for an Academic Advisor to join our team. The following duties are customary for Academic Advisors, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on institutional needs.

+ Advise students (current and transfer) within the Psychology department, with the potential to support other academic units in the future

+ Support the advising policies and initiatives of the University and CEBS

+ Work with students, faculty, staff within CEBS and across campus as needed

+ Assist in advising for Topper Orientation Program (T.O.P.)

+ Advise students based on 5th week check-in assessment

+ Provide proactive advising, interventions, and referrals as necessary

+ Work with Career Coaches to help students create an academic/ career plan that ensures student success

+ Maintain advising records and databases

+ Attend and participate in other CEBS student success events as needed

+ Create and maintain department advising materials

+ Support student success and retention in collaboration with department leadership and the undergraduate program committee

Job Requirements:

+ Bachelors Degree

+ Experience providing academic assistance at the collegiate level

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $38,000 - $43,000
