    Job Description

    _*Olsson currently has one opportunity for an Experienced Designer in our Lincoln, NE office with the_ _Water Resources team._

     

    Olsson offers its clients a full spectrum of water services, including a complete line of planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services.

     

    As an Experienced Designer on our Water Resources team, you will utilize your diversified design experience to perform complex drafting assignments requiring the application of standardized techniques. You will recommend design techniques and minor design changes to ensure the best approach to solve engineering and design needs. You will be able to work well independently and direct efforts of less experienced staff.

    What You'll Do:

    + Create detailed project designs, including drawings, layouts, specifications, and calculations to meet quality and project goals

    + Explore design concepts and techniques to improve project outcomes

    + Evaluate drawings, estimate costs, and participate in client meetings

    + Maintain all project-related documents and correspondence

    + Support the development of environmental and related project studies

    + Guide and review work of junior staff

    + Perform on-site work in various terrains and weather conditions throughout construction phases

    Qualifications

    + Associate’s degree in drafting or related field preferred

    + 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
