    PART TIME RESEARCH SCHOLAR

    New York University Tandon School of Engineering

     

    The Machines in Motion laboratory at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Part-Time Research Scientist to work with Dr. Ludovic Righetti.

The Machines in Motion laboratory conducts research in planning, control and learning for robotic manipulation and locomotion.

     

    Expectations

     

    Candidates will be responsible for conducting research using algorithms for model-predictive control.

     

    Salary range

     

    In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $26.37 per hour depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

     

    Expected start date and period of employment

     

    The expected start date is July 21, 2025. This position is expected to be for 3 months . Part-time appointments would require a work schedule of approximately 27 hours per week .

     

    Candidates should have at least a Bachelor’s in computer science, mechanical engineering, technology management, data science, statistics, and applied mathematics or a related field . Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
