    The Senior Engineer - FPGA Design will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing custom logic solutions for advanced aerospace systems. In this role, will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of high-quality, reliable, and efficient custom logic designs into cutting-edge aerospace products. Your expertise in digital design, verification, and FPGA/ASIC development will contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions that meet stringent safety, quality, and performance standards.

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Design and develop custom logic solutions for aerospace applications, including FPGA and ASIC designs.

    + Perform system-level analysis and requirements definition to ensure alignment with project goals.

    + Conduct simulation, verification, and validation of custom logic designs to ensure functionality and reliability.

    + Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate custom logic into broader system architectures.

    + Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

    + Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

    + Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in custom logic design and aerospace systems.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in Electrical or Computer Engineering

    + A minimum of 8 years of professional experiences in design

    Additional Information

    + This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

    + Willingness and ability to sit onsite at either the Bohemia, NY or Pompano Beach, FL GE Aerospace facility

    + Note- the posted salary range below may vary based on location and cost of living differential

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in computing product development containing cSoC device architectures.

    + Preferred candidate has experience with Zynq and Polarfire devices in system on chip or system on module applications with the knowledge of high speed data interfaces and functions used in computing applications such as PCIe, AXI bus, SERDES, DMA, ect..

    + Experience with avionics interfaces and protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, A429, A664, and TSN.

    + Experience with Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond, Microsemi Libero and Xillinx Vivado.

    + Experience in VHDL and UVM Test Benches.

    + Experience with the Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise and Hyperlinx PI/SI.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

    + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

    + Experience in the Mil/Aero/avionics, DO-254 and Civil FFA Certification.

    + Ability to break down complex problems and apply critical thinking.

    This position may be eligible for the following flexible work arrangements (FWA):

    + Candidates must reside locally near either the Bohemia, NY or Pompano Beach, FL facilities for a hybrid work schedule (i.e. 3 days onsite at the facility and 2 days remote per week; **schedule subject to change based on business needs**)

     

    The base pay range for this position is $145,800.00 - 194,500.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 12/01/2025.
