RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Maintain prior authorizations for various health insurance with the network of specialty services
+ Under general supervision, perform specialized clerical and technical duties to facilitate the delivery of patient care
+ Function as an expert in both patient service area and registration; perform the work of registration and scheduling or unit coordination
+ Follow an effective workflow for the referral process to address both internal and external referrals, as well as communicating with referring providers
+ Follow processes for specific subspecialty referrals with physicians
+ Oversee referral process and ensure compliance with process
+ Maintain a database for tracking referrals using EPIC
