CA+P is guided by four principles known by many as the “4R’s” (Responsibility, Resilience, Respect, and Response). These four commitments are game-changers that suggest that care is the ethical imperative of our professions; demanding new modes of thinking and doing to transform the world into a better place.

The College of Architecture + Planning cares deeply for the success of all students and seeks an academic advisor that is sensitive to the needs of diverse students to manage their assigned caseload of students in the Games program, develop support services, collaborate with departments and faculty to prepare students for the undergraduate majors, and provide academic advising for the undergraduate population.

    7. Coordinates and/or participates in the advising-related portion of new/transfer student and parent orientation sessions.

    8. Coordinates and/or participates in outreach activities with two-year institutions within Utah; specifically with Salt Lake Community College as we have an articulation agreement with their architecture program.

    9. Ensures processes and procedures are followed to facilitate the entry of transfer students into college programs.

    10. Provide assistance in the recruitment process and activities to support prospective students as they navigate the admissions application process.

    11. Perform other duties as assigned when necessary.
