Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic **Accounting Manager** to oversee and manage the accounting operations of our manufacturing facility in Brenham, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business partnership, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment and is highly collaborative across functions in order to support the best business decisions. This role is critical in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

+ **Team Leadership**

+ Manage a team of employees dedicated to cost accounting, AP/AR, and other financial manufacturing tasks

+ Responsible for recruitment, engagement, and performance management of the team

+ Encourages collaboration and participation in wider business initiatives

+ Communicates effectively and efficiently with Finance team, as well as wider Operational Leadership Team at the Brenham site

+ **Cost Accounting**

+ Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead

+ Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives

+ Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting

+ **Financial Planning & Analysis**

+ Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.

+ Analyze financial performance and variances against budget and prior periods.

+ Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

+ **Reporting & Compliance**

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensures timely and accurate completion of all deliverables to IDEX

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, tax regulations, and internal policies

+ Coordinate with internal and external auditors and manage audit processes

+ **Cash Flow & Treasury Management**

+ Monitor cash flow and working capital

+ Manage banking relationships and optimize financing strategies

+ **Operational Support**

+ Partner with operations and sales teams to support business decisions

+ Evaluate capital investment proposals and ROI analysis

+ Implement and maintain internal controls and financial systems

+ Partner closely with operations to lead PPE US’s annual physical inventory (preparation and execution)

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)

+ 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment

+ Prior experience leading people is required

+ Strong knowledge of cost accounting, ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards), and Excel

+ Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

+ Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities

+ Familiarity with inventory management and production planning systems

+ Proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization tools
