    Position Summary

    As an Assembler, you will assemble, test, and repair electronic components in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

     

    What You'll do as a Assembler

     

    + Learn and carry out detailed work instructions for major component parts and sub-assemblies for assigned product lines.

    + Assemble components using various hand tools and testing equipment in an ESD-protected environment.

    + Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes.

    + Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions.

    + Final test product and package into final configuration.

    + Promote and support a safe working environment.

    + Inform the team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment or processes.

    + Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.

    + Adhere to safety practices, including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment.

    + Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation, and Hour by Hour Board updates.

    + Meet quality assurance requirements and complete documentation associated with same.

     

    The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

    Required:

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + 1 year of assembly experience.

    + Previous experience with reading drawings and schematics in order to assemble products.

    Preferred:

    + Previous experience in an environment using Lean Manufacturing tools preferred.

    Other:

    + Ability to read, understand, and communicate oral and written instructions in English.

    + Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

    + Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.

    + Ability to identify, communicate, and troubleshoot problems.

    + Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other employees.

    + Ability to enter data at a computer terminal.

    + Ability to rotate between work stations throughout the work day.

    + Basic counting and arithmetic skills required.
