Job Summary
Tasks include testing of finished product during and after production and warehouse inspection. Knowledge of manufacturing/processing specifications, product testing equipment, and calibration of equipment. Other skills include the ability to read close tolerance gauges, meters and tape measures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Perform the following types of testing; Foam core density, Compressive Strength,Cold box, k-factor
+ Attribute testing for aesthetics
+ Inputting data into the quality assurance database/SAP and SAPI system
+ Warehouse Unit Inspection
+ Understanding how to write up and use of T3P's
+ Housekeeping of Plant inside and out
+ Assist in training of new team members
+ Perform calibration of testing equipment
+ Perform product dimension measurements with tape measure and caliper
+ Transport product using forklift
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
+ Knowledge of manufacturing/processing specifications and quality standards for products.
+ Knowledge of the operation of product test equipment.
+ Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant's general safety policies.
+ Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product.
+ Ability to use a computer and send emails
+ Ability to speak, read, and write in English
+ Forklift (preferred)

Education and Experience:
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent
+ Experience with driving a forklift (preferred)
+ Previous experience with Quality Testing (preferred)
Equipment Used:
+ Measurement equipment as outlined in the Carlisle quality assurance manual
+ Various tools (measurement gauges including calipers, tape measures and scales, thermal conductivity machine, various thickness measurement device and freezer temperature probe)
+ Required PPE
+ Office equipment (computer, phone, kiosk)
+ Computer systems (SAPI, SAP, MS programs)
+ Various saws (Band saw, chop saw, etc.)
Working Conditions:
+ Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following.
+ Exposure to both very high and very low ambient temperatures
+ dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points
+ Noise of industrial machinery
+ Walking and standing for long periods of time
+ Typically 40 hour per week with overtime as required
+ 3 shifts Monday-Friday with weekends as required
+ Fast paced 24/7 operation
Travel Requirement
+ Possible occasional overnight travel for training purposes
