About the Team
Reporting to the Quality Manager Operations, this role will work alongside a team of Quality Assurance Officers. This role will be based in Redbank at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE).
About the Role
The Quality Assurance Officer engages and participates in the inspections of vehicles, modules and assemblies during final preparation and testing to acceptance. Additionally, confirming and reporting on the build quality, compliance of vehicles and related compliance records.
As the Quality Assurance Officer you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
+ Inspection and testing of sub-assemblies and vehicles;
+ Validation and management of build documentation to ensure product and vehicle acceptance;
+ Non-conformance management including running material review boards and instigating product corrective action activities using 8D methodology;
+ Data analysis and quality reporting;
+ Facilitate and participate in Government Quality Assurance activities; and
+ Continuous improvement of the quality function.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
+ Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Quality or a relevant Trade;
+ Experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Quality Compliance roles;
+ Experience working in a defence, automotive, aviation, transport manufacturing or maintenance environments;
+ Understanding of Quality Management principles;
+ Ability to read and interpret standards, engineering drawings and customer specifications;
+ Root cause analysis techniques preferably using the 8D methodology;
+ Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint);
+ Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
+ Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
