This posting is on Bliss 7 ICU, the Medical Intensive Care Unit which is a 12-bed unit that provides care to patients with a wide range of complex, highly acute medical issues utilizinga variety of advanced technologies and devices including CRRT. These issues include but are not limited to; respiratory failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver injury/failure, kidney injury/failure, sepsis, and drug and alcohol withdrawal. Under the supervision of a Critical Care Pulmonologist, the unit is staffed 24 hours-a-day with a team of Pulmonary Critical Care Fellows and medical house staff physicians consisting of interns and residents. We offer our *Graduate* *Registered Nurses* clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities as they complete the *Nurse Residency program*. *Qualifications* * Current Connecticut RN License. * Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required). * BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire. * Minimum one year acute care RN experience strongly preferred. * In exceptional circumstances, Registered Nurses with an ASN/ADN who are currently in pursuit of a BSN or MSN may be considered. * Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply through the Critical Care Graduate Nurse Program.
