The Opportunity:
Sam's Club is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Manager, Import Integrated Planning to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our import supply chain, ensuring seamless product flow from origin to club, and driving significant value for our members.
This position demands a leader with a strong passion for cross-functional alignment, a deep global understanding of supply chain complexities, exceptional end-to-end thinking, insatiable curiosity, and the ability to develop creative inventory solutions.
What you'll do...
What You'll Do:
+ **Lead Cross-Functional Alignment:** Act as a central hub for import planning, fostering strong collaborative relationships with Merchandising, Replenishment, Logistics, Global Sourcing, Finance, and suppliers. Drive consensus and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on import strategies, timelines, and execution plans.
+ **Leverage Global Understanding:** Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of global trade regulations, geopolitical factors, port operations, and international shipping dynamics. Proactively identify potential disruptions and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
+ **Champion End-to-End Thinking:** Own the import planning process from supplier order placement to final product delivery at the club. Identify bottlenecks, optimize handoffs, and streamline processes across the entire import supply chain to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
+ **Cultivate Curiosity and Drive Innovation:** Continuously seek out new insights, best practices, and technological advancements in import planning. Challenge the status quo and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
+ **Develop Creative Inventory Solutions:** Collaborate with Replenishment and Merchandising to implement innovative inventory strategies that balance in-stock goals with inventory efficiency. Explore and implement solutions for optimizing order quantities, lead times, and inventory placement to minimize stockouts and maximize working capital.
+ **Develop and Implement Strategic Import Plans:** Create comprehensive import plans that align with business objectives, promotional calendars, and inventory targets. Monitor performance against these plans and make real-time adjustments as needed.
+ **Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** Define, track, and report on key import planning KPIs, including on-time delivery, lead time adherence, inventory turns, and cost per unit. Use data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
+ **Mentor and Develop Talent:** Potentially lead and mentor a team of import planning professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and high performance.
What You'll Bring:
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
+ 5+ years of progressive experience in import supply chain planning, international logistics, or global operations, preferably within a retail or CPG environment.
+ Proven experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
+ Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced, complex global environment.
+ Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of developing creative and practical solutions.
+ Proficiency in supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and advanced Excel skills.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to travel internationally as needed (limited).
Bonus Points If You Have:
+ Experience with demand planning and forecasting methodologies.
+ Familiarity with various shipping modes (ocean, air, rail, truck) and their associated regulations.
+ Project management experience in a supply chain context.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
