Job Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist will work within the American Rheinmetall Vehicles (ARV) operations team focused on performing shipping and receiving of materials, components and vehicles in support of program and facility operations. The Specialist will act in direct coordination with ARV Supply Chain (SC) to process receipt of incoming and shipping of outgoing material and vehicles.
We are looking for a Warehouse Specialist to work for our Sterling Heights, MI office. Requirements
Essential Functions:
+ Working with partners and teammates to ship and receive required material for ARV’s combat vehicle prototypes and systems.
+ Prepare and pack items for safe transport to a given shipping location.
+ Ability to process receipt and log items into ERP and PMS systems as digital article of receipt.
+ Scan and store packing slips to appropriate storage areas via computer.
+ Verbal and written communication to Buyers and item Requestor for outgoing/incoming items.
+ Contact and coordination of transport firms for shipment of ARV materials and vehicles utilizing TL. LTL and other shipping suppliers.
+ Handling and management of Government Furnished Property (GFP).
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Operation of fork truck and pallet stacker.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)
+ Working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
+ Understanding of Fork Truck Operation
+ Working Knowledge of:
+ Property Management Systems (PMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
+ Microsoft Teams
+ Fork truck and pallet jack use and safety
+ Must be adaptable and able to prioritize and work on own initiative and under pressure to meet deadlines.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to work effectively with the US and overseas management, staff, teams, suppliers, and customers.
+ High level of self-motivation and standards with the ability to multi-task; balancing "analysis" with "doing."
Education:
+ High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
+ 5+ years of experience in inventory management; use of ERP and PMS systems
+ 5+ years experience driving a fork truck or pallet stacker. Fork Truck Certification is a plus.
+ Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Navision or Cost Point software systems.
+ Experience in managing GFP.
+ Experience with Microsoft Teams software.
+ Experience with shipping and receiving hazardous materials (batteries, oils, solvents, paints).
+ Experience with the handling of Government property.
Background Prerequisites:
+ Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Valid Certification for Fork Truck Operation preferred

This position requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:
+ Physical requirement to Frequently perform the tasks below:
+ Lifting or carrying weight up to 50 pounds unassisted and pushing or pulling weight up to 25 pounds unassisted can occur.
+ Transporting parts and equipment.
+ Require standing and walking for extended periods of time.
+ Frequent operation of Fork Truck for loading, unloading and moving equipment.
