Our **Security Officer** positions play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure warehouse environment. This role involves monitoring interior and exterior areas, enforcing access control protocols, and delivering excellent service through active patrols, observation, and clear communication.

Security Officer – $21.50/hr

**Location:** Warehouse Site (Devens, MA area)

Schedule:** **Part-Time – Saturday & Sunday, 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM

The **Security Officer** is responsible for safeguarding personnel, property, and assets at this warehouse location. Common duties include observing for suspicious activity, controlling access, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ **Surveillance:** Monitor security systems and conduct patrols to detect unauthorized access, safety issues, or suspicious behavior.

+ **Access Control:** Check identification, issue visitor passes, and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.

+ **Patrolling:** Perform routine foot or vehicle patrols of the perimeter, entry points, parking lots, and dock areas.

+ **Customer Service:** Provide assistance and information to staff and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.

+ **Incident Reporting:** Document all incidents, safety concerns, and policy violations clearly and accurately.

+ **Emergency Response:** Respond promptly to alarms, medical calls, and emergencies; coordinate with emergency responders as needed.

+ **Safety Inspections:** Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions throughout the facility.

+ **Conflict Resolution:** De-escalate minor disturbances while maintaining professionalism and composure.

+ **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with site personnel, fellow officers, and emergency responders to maintain security and safety.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

+ Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly

+ Reliable transportation and communication

+ Strong observation and communication skills

+ Calm, professional demeanor under pressure
