    Job Summary:

    The Quality Systems Specialist is responsible for facilitating the internal document control system, coordinating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), updating and leading Configuration Management within the PLM system, generating process-related documents, and supporting the overall Integrated Management Systems. This position will be located in Durham, NC.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    * You will be responsible for creating, updating, and standardizing quality department documentation. This includes managing procedures, ensuring accuracy and integrity within our internal documentation system, and overseeing the release of all updated documents.

    * You will serve as the primary administrator for the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system (Arena), acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for its backend operations.

    * You will create and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to support manufacturing, tracking their progress from initiation to completion. This includes ensuring all associated documentation and process changes are fully implemented.

    * You will execute product data changes in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (JDE), creating and updating part numbers and Bills of Materials (BOMs), and cross-referencing them with our PLM system.

    * Manage and maintain the Software database to ensure all products comply with RoHS/REACH/WEEE directives.

    * You will be responsible for managing and conducting internal and external quality audits.

    * You will actively participate in, and lead projects, implementations, and initiatives aimed at achieving quality improvement goals, annual objectives, and system optimization.

    * You'll collaborate with various department leads to train, mentor, and facilitate adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements, continuous process improvement efforts, and audit readiness.

    Education and Experience:

    * College degree preferred but not required. Comparable experience from prior employment will be considered.

    * Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing, quality, or data management role.

    * Documentation and/or Quality Assurance experience.

    * Knowledge of computer applications and current software is desirable (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Project, and PLM/ERP system)

    * Basic knowledge of quality and lean manufacturing principles.

    * Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as JDE

    * Knowledge of PLM systems such as Arena
