    Key Responsibilities

    + Will take a leadership role in the management of the materials laboratory testing business in our Murray, UT office. Will be responsible for lab certification, preparing for lab audits, maintaining quality control, ensuring timely execution of lab tests, hiring, and managing income statement to meet financial goals for the lab.

    + Financial performance of the lab - P&L, controlling labor costs and equipment expenses, tracking revenue

    + Assist in proposal preparation including innovative technical approaches and competitive pricing. Will prepare and perform client presentations.

    + Will supervise operations of concrete/soils/asphalt laboratory in Murray, UT office.

    + Will supervise Engineering Technicians performing lab tests.

    + Will compile, review and approve lab reports

    + Must have sound knowledge of laboratory tests, field testing and inspection.

    + Position will serve as primary interface with client representative.

    + Must have ability to make quick decisions requiring sound judgment and experience

    Role Requirements

    + BS degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree or measurable experience managing and implementing a construction materials business

    + Minimum 5 - 7 years in experience in a construction materials lab

    + Ability and experience directing and managing staff

    + Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task

    + Positive experience dealing directly with client representatives.

    + Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships as well as experience in proposal preparation.

    + Strong work ethic, self-motivated and capable of independent work. Demonstrated ability to work on project teams.

    + Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    + Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience on AMRL and CCRL Laboratory Accreditations.

    + Experience on UDOT Laboratory Accreditations and WAQTC/TTQP Program.
