    Salary: $45,000/yr Position Summary: Perform work associated with planning and directing the agency's special events and activities, including those directed towards creating community awareness, stewardship, support, participation, and engaging child welfare professionals. This position will also coordinate all special events for the agency and collection and maintenance of stakeholder data. Graphic design, website maintenance and social media posting are essential functions of this position. This position will report to the Director of Community Development and Engagement. This position will work in four counties, with a high concentration in Orange, Osceola and Seminole. Technical/Functional Expectations: 1. Strong communication & presentation skills-Essential: Strong speaking, writing, and professional presentation skills are required to effectively and concisely share the agency's vision and mission with stakeholders and diverse audiences. 2. Event Planning and Project Management - Essential Function: Manage the production and execution of agency's external special events and community relations outreach projects, including management of event timelines, contracts, marketing, and volunteers. Coordinate national training events and track attendee completion and certification. 3. Community Relations- Essential Function: Represent the agency at local community and service group events to develop and maintain community relationships. Requires time outside of regular business hours. 4. Creative Support - Essential Function: Provide creative input for agency publications, as well as marketing materials for events and activities that advance the objectives of the organization, establish and/or maintain public/private partnerships, and build donor relations. 5. Communication Essential Function: Share the agency s vision and mission with stakeholders and diverse audiences through monthly, social media posts, and website content. 6. Fundraising/Donor Relations Essential Function: Track and report financial and in-kind donations in the CRM database management and transfer/merger. Help advance donor acquisition, produce database queries, mail merges and reports, engagement, and retention as needed. 7. Communication Archive - Essential Function: Maintain an archive of communications, photos, press coverage, events and documentation in order to provide a continuum of events and history. 8. Social Media and Website Content Creation and Maintenance Essential Function: Maintain social media accounts and websites by writing and updating content, and adding documents and graphics as requested. 9. Other duties as required: Job performance requires fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes. Business Experience: 1. Minimum two (2) years project and special event mgmt.: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects (e.g. special events, community outreach programs, agency sponsored public activities, etc.) and complete within assigned timelines and budgets. Necessary to maintain agency presence and community goodwill. 2. Strong, writing, public speaking, and presentation skills: This is required to adequately convey the vision, mission and purpose of the agency and successfully engage the public in our efforts. 3. Computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft programs: This is required to develop presentations and publications and effectively communicate with stakeholders and audiences. 4. Experience working with diverse groups: To successfully engage community partners, forge mutually-beneficial relationships, and communicate a positive public image for the agency. 5. Demonstrated business judgment & critical thinking skills: The ability to determine appropriate actions in diverse or unfamiliar situations that build or maintain strong community relations and a positive public image. 6. Valid Driver's License - Essential: This position requires local and state-wide travel. Educational and Experience Requirements: 1. AA/AS Associate s Degree or equivalent required. 2. BA/BS - Bachelor s Degree or equivalent preferred. 3. Able to work flexible schedule to include evenings/weekends required. 4. Prior similar activities within a non-profit environment preferred.
