    Description

    The Sr. Data Quality Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of master data across critical business platforms, including PIM, ERP, Data Syndication, Vendor Portal, and CRM. Reporting to the Master Data and PIM Manager, this position ensures data quality throughout its life cycle, validating accuracy, and supporting the needs of the business. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Strategy, Category Management, Product Management, Supply Chain, and IT to ensure that item, vendor, and customer data meets business requirements and is compliant with internal and external standards.

     

    This role will be a M-F, day shift role; ideally out of our Chicago IL (Morton Grove), office. We may also consider applicants that would be in our St. Louis, MO (Creve Coeur) office. There may be some flexibility to work from home 1-2 days /month if needed.

    Responsibilities:

    + Create and maintain master data in Bunzl’s systems, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and up to date.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and document evolving master data and approval requirements and implement solutions to meet those requirements.

    + Ensure compliance with external industry standards for item data, such as GS1 and 1WorldSync.

    + For Bunzl’s Own Brand items, create and maintain Global Trade Identification Numbers (GTINs) to enable accurate tracking of products throughout the supply chain.

    + Work within the team to ensure consistency of product attributes across multiple systems, including ERP, Product Information Management (PIM), Ecommerce, and Reporting.

    + Work with Data Strategy team to conduct exploratory analysis of large sets of items, using Excel.

    + Coordinate with IT to manage bulk uploads or edits of master data to meet new data standards.

    + Partner with IT and Ecommerce teams to continually improve the Master Data Request portal (MDR) and automate related business processes. Provide training and support to MDR users across multiple divisions of Bunzl.

    + Partner with Category Management, National Accounts, and Syndication Coordinator to prioritize and syndicate data to Bunzl’s customers via Global Data Pools.

    + Lead and support master data projects including customer onboarding efforts, publication requests, and data migration across systems.

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma or GED required

    + Bachelor's degree.

    + Experience in a master data or data management role.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

    + Ability to document and maintain complex standard operating procedures.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large amounts of data.

    + Hands-on experience item data, including product attributes and industry standards is required.

    + Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Power Point, Word, Access, Outlook) is a requirement

    + Strong attention to detail and client-first mindset

    Preferred Experience:

    + 1WorldSync and GS1 standards

    + Product information management (PIM) system (InRiver, Salsify, Akeneo, etc.)

    + Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, formulas, and shortcuts

    + B2B customer or contact data

    + CRM or Ecom systems

    + Bunzl salary range for this role is $60,000 -$75,000/year based on education, experience and geographic location.
