    Join our team as a **Senior Quality Engineer (QE)** . In this role, you'll drive a robust quality culture, practices, and collaboration efforts. Your focus will be implementing strategic quality enhancements across multiple programs.

     

    This role shall be responsible for delivering Quality Assurance in line with the Quality Management System and Quality Policy across the several programs **within the McKinney CMC factory** . As the primary quality interface for customers, you'll ensure the hardware meet all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements.

     

    You shall monitor quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with integrated teams to support factory production activities, including First Article Inspection and Government/Customer source inspection, and Layer Process Assessment. Working as part of the Operations Quality Team, conducting day to day Quality Assurance activities whilst engaging with key stakeholders across the organization.

     

    This is an “Onsite” role based in McKinney, Texas and relocation assistance is not provided.

    What You Will Do:

    + Perform quality activities to aid the Design activities, respective Quality Assurance Plans (IE: First Article Inspections, Source Inspections, and checks on incoming and outgoing products).

    + Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.

    + Plan, conduct and oversee Internal/External audits to aid Raytheon’s Certifications.

    + Develop partnerships with program and production leaders, IPTs, and other functions to drive issue resolution and implement improved processes.

    + Generate new Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.

    + Interpret requirements such as drawings and command media in compliance to work being performed.

    + Manage, lead and provide guidance to Quality Control inspectors.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of relevant experience in the areas below;

    + Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

    + Experience in planning and performing FAI per AS9100 requirements

    + Experience performing audits of products and processes within a program or business

    + Experience interpreting requirements/drawings and identifying deficiencies/defects.

    + Experience in Quality Assurance, audits and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies, Process Improvement and streamlining.

    + Experience with Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) or SAP.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Experience in hardware inspections and inspection standards.

    + Experience using people skills and working with customers, suppliers, in a team environment, facilitating cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities.

    + Experience working with or as a quality control inspector in a production environment

    + Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

    + Experience communicating verbally and in written communications and networking with other stakeholders while problem solving and creating resolutions with effective and concise presentation skills

    The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
