    **Primary Location:** United States (US) - Louisiana - Thibodaux

    As a **Service Technician** with John Deere Thibodaux, you will:

    Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment.

    Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

    + Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment.

    + Build and maintain good customer service and working relationships.

    + Assemble, adjust, and commission new equipment.

    + Participate in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.

    + Perform diagnosis and repair in the field as required.

    + Mentor Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.

    + Provide technical information for customers and dealers.

    + Maintain current knowledge of John Deere products.

    + Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.

    + Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.

    + Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

    + Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.

    + Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.

    + Assist and support other team members and work with minimal supervision.

    + Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Must have at least one of the following:

    + High School Diploma or G.E.D.

    + National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

    + At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience

    + At least 1 year of work experience in mechanical / electrical / hydraulic systems used in repair of equipment OR equivalent certification(s) / journeyperson’s card(s). Includes:

    + Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using applicable equipment and Technical Manual procedures.

    + Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.

    + Experience in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.

    + Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

    + Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends and holidays).

    What Makes You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

    + At least 6 months of welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
