Job Description

The Manager, Patient Access is responsible for the administration and management of all personnel and aspects of emergency room registration, inpatient and same day admissions, discharge, and decentralized unscheduled registration. Responsible for policy and procedure development, financial planning and development and personnel management. Also responsible for the development and implementation all aspects of the Patient Access Services Department's continuous quality management and training programs for centralized and decentralized registration area. Review changes in processes or payer requirements and creates on going education materials such as tip sheets and flows. Regular auditing of registration staff and appropriate follow up on lack of performance or adherence to policy and procedures.

Education And Credentials

Bachelors Degree in Business or health related field preferred.

Experience

Knowledge of medical terminology, third party payer requirements, Admissions and emergency department. Able to prioritize needs and effectively manage resources. Strong leadership skills with employees, patients, and all other individuals. Able to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse patient and employee populations. Three years management experience in health care required. Experience with successfully managing budgets, scheduling employees, and managing in a union environment. Experience in patient access, billing, and insurance. Demonstrate proficiency in Office applications and other Kaleida Health systems.

**Salary Range:** $74,724.00 - $102,550.50

*Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
