Description:
St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an EP Tech to join our team!
Schedule: Full-time, days. 10-hour shifts
The EP technologist will assist in the monitoring of physiological data received during EP procedures. The EP technologist will also be called upon to assist as scrub assistant and perform radiological procedures.
Job Responsibilities
+ Prepare the EP Laboratory and equipment for procedures to be performed. To be totally familiar and able to operate electronic equipment necessary to properly monitor patient heart rhythms and pressure, intracardiac electrogram. Maintain physiologic and hemodynamic monitoring equipment of any problems. Ability to interpret patient status and information during procedure
+ Prepare patient for all EP procedures. Function as circulating assistant during all EP procedures.
+ Maintains and assistant in sterility of equipment utilized in procedures. Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.
+ Observe patient for any complication of EP procedure. Document observation and report to registered nurse and physician.
+ Function as scrub assistant during EP procedure. Assist physicians during procedure. Assist nurses with setup and, as necessary, monitor patients EKG and report changes during procedure, observe and report patient status during procedure.
Minimum Qualifications
+ HS Diploma or equivalent
+ RT/RCES/OR Technician
+ BLS
