_POSITION SUMMARY_
To be successful in this position this person must be timely, accurate and personable with each and every customer. Ensures that the customer feels a sense of urgency when WE communicate and how WE communicate, building trust between the customer and WE. Utilizes listening and observation skills to customize the WE experience the customer receives. Clearly communicates to the customer what to expect from our services and works to exceed the agreed upon expectations. If additional repairs are needed throughout the repair process the estimator may facilitate those supplements with both the customer and the insurance company.
_ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES_
• Communicates effectively with all business contacts • Maintains a professional appearance, safe working habits, and compliance with all company policies. • Maintains a Positive attitude and manages stress to ensure a calm, cool and collected image. • Often Is the first point of contact for our customers and is responsible for: o Interviews customer to ensure all damage is documented and deductibles are known. o Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage. o Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item. o Reviews repair / replace options by component to determine the best course for repairs o Composes wreck estimates to include all known and understood charges (Parts, Labor, freight, Paint, sublet, ETC ….) o Reviews all estimates prior to customer presentation to ensure all repairs are covered by the estimate and works to minimize the opportunity for supplemental estimates • Keeps a list of estimates and communicates with the Body Shop Foreman and Manager on the progress towards earning each job. • Coordinates with the Foreman and when a job is secured communicates with the customer on who at Worldwide Equipment will be managing their repairs – “hands the customer over to the Foreman”. • Must maintain an empathetic view of our customers distress; works to create customized repair strategies to minimize our customer’s downtime and creates the best value for their overall spend. • Contacts customers and asks for business and schedules work into the shop • Foster teamwork within the department and with all other departments. • Strives to learn and develop the skills needed to take on increasing responsibilities. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
_SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE_
• Reports directly to the Body Shop Foreman
_QUALIFICATIONS_

_EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE_
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); • Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
_REQUIRED SKILLS_
• Effective Communicator with all levels of daily business contacts • Must have the soft skills needed to engage with ALL customers and communicate effectively • “Can Do, make it happen” attitude coupled with a High-energy level with a contagious optimism for the Body Shop Service business • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
