Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Nursing manages the financial and clinical operations of assigned area(s) and recommends qualified competent persons to provide care.

Under the guidance and direction of the COO, provides leadership for assessing, planning, implementing patient care for Neuroscience and Oncology Service Lines.

The Director supports the mission and vision of the facility, division and company.

• Collaborates with physicians and other departments to facilitate service line growth.

• Assures quality care through the initiation and evaluation of patient care utilizing performance improvement process.

• Responsible for compliance of Neuroscience and Oncology in regards to regulatory and quality measures. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.

• Supervises staff and assures staff competency.

• Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner.

• Develops, markets, implements, and evaluates new services and programs.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Certification in area of specialty preferred. BLS certification required. OCN and BSN required or obtained with first 2 years.
