Insight Global is searching for an IT Application Manager for our oil and gas client based out of Pittsburgh, PA. The Manager, IT Applications plays a critical leadership role in aligning technology solutions with commercial business strategies, particularly within the energy trading and risk management (ETRM) domain. This position oversees the development, implementation, and support of application systems, ensuring seamless integration across front, middle, and back-office operations. With a strong focus on Agile methodologies, the manager collaborates cross-functionally to drive innovation, manage third-party vendors, and optimize the Commercial IT budget. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Openlink Endur, a solid grasp of the trade lifecycle across various commodities, and a proven track record in leading technical teams and strategic initiatives. This role also emphasizes employee development, process improvement, and fostering a culture of open communication and continuous growth.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Engineering, Math, Science

9+ years of relevant experience working in IT

3+ years of experience supervising application implementations and project teams showcasing a good balance between technical ability and leadership skills

Experience with a software platform developed by Openlink called Endur

Strong Commercial acumen will be working with accounting, revenue, and trading risk teams

o Understanding of the commercial side of IT, particularly in commodities trading

o Virtual trading & scheduling: overseeing how natural gas flows are scheduled

o Integration with Risk & Revenue: Ensuring trading activities align with risk management and revenue tracking Oil and gas industry experience

Experience tracking LNG and the process of setting it up

Experience with other ETRM platforms (EMK3 / Alegro) null
