Job Description

A large financial services client is looking for a Synthetics Settlements and Confirmations Analyst to join their team. This team is part of the larger Global Banking and Markets organization and directly supports the front office. This person will be a part of the Confirmations Group provides documentation support to all equity based derivative activity. The primary team responsibility is the production of Confirmations for Equity Swaps and Synthetics products, by partnering with a team of product experts to review all aspects of executed transactions. In addition, this person will help support the settlement process to ensure all trades are confirmed and settled in a timely manner.

Responsibilities Include:

- Investigation of booking or term sheet related issues

- Monitor workflows to ensure confirmations are prioritized accordingly and ensuring dispatch of structured confirmations

- Gain a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements for compliance and ensure the team is hitting internal confirmation transmission targets

- Follow up with counterparties on confirmations and settlements

- Review daily exception reports and resolve any outstanding items pertaining to teams responsibilities

- Accurate and timely settlement of cash-flows with adherence to the internal payment policy and procedures

- Maintain accurate and clean post settlement work-flows including breaks and fails

Skills and Requirements

- Experience working with traded products (ideally derivatives, or similar products)

- Bachelor's Degree

- Proven ability to process transactions or analyze financial terms

- Strong ability to speak to financial models and the trade life cycle - Performed post trade activities in their previous roles

- Experience in handling swift messages (202/103/199/299) null
