The WorkSpaces Thin Client team is looking for a Sr. Technical Project Manager to translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed project plans and schedules that span software development and hardware vendor management. You will work with a strong engineering team with the goal of delivering high-quality results on-time and on-budget and driving adoption of the best engineering practices.
You will partner with our Director, the product managers, and the development managers to drive the execution of our roadmap and help the team make thoughtful trade-offs. You will work across AWS End User Computing in support of the integrations between our virtual desktops and applications and WorkSpaces Thin Client OS and device management suite. You will also work directly with hardware vendors including Amazon Devices to drive execution.

A day in the life
Every day you will balance your efforts among the development and execution of program plans, aligning with business objectives and timelines and handling pressing customer needs. Your specific tasks will include: driving the transition from prototype to mass production of new devices, owning risk mitigation planning and issue resolution, partnering with supply chain and manufacturing teams to optimize production ramp and yield,, coordinating with compliance and regulatory teams to manage global certification efforts, and implementing program tracking tools and dashboards to communicate status and risks to stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
